HallmarkThe Management Committee are very proud that Down Ampney Village Hall is the first village hall in Gloucestershire to be awarded all three levels of Hallmark by Gloucestershire Rural Community Council. The three levels are obtained in sequence and the Hall and Committee have to be re-examined at three year intervals.Hallmark One recognises that the administration and management of the Hall is in accordance with the Trust Deed, and that the Management Committee, on behalf of the Parish Council, is managing the Hall for the benefit of the whole community of Down Ampney. Hallmark Two recognises the way in which the Hall is maintained, particularly relating to Health, Safety, Security and Licences, and to ensure that all the infrastructure of the Hall and the equipment contained in it is safe for users, staff and volunteers. Hallmark Three recognises how the Management Committee is involved in meeting the needs of the community now and in the future through its Community, Social Awareness, Forward Planning and Development policies through adjusting its aims and objectives as circumstances change. This recognised national standard was met after much devotion and dedication by all members of the Management Committee. The Management Committee believe that the knowledge gained through their efforts was well justified as they feel that achieving all three awards in the scheme gives the Hall Management Committee the confidence to be able to offer a safe, sustainable and comprehensive facility, accessible and readily available to all users of the Hall and one that benefits the whole community of Down Ampney.
